Feeder Q10 Individualized nutrition in quarantine
The Feeder Q10 is an automated individualized nutrition system that adapts the ration of gilts according to their weight, their body condition and their planned insemination date, which allows to optimize their technical performance.
This station is designed for a capacity of 20 gilts, feeding them dry, crumbled or pelleted feed.
How does it work?
Data collection and analysis
ELD measurements, animal weights and the planned insemination date are entered into the software connected to the station.
This information is essential to determine the specific nutritional needs of each animal.
Automated calculation and distribution
If the gilt has not consumed all of its feed ration in the previous days or if the ambient temperature of the room becomes too low, the algorithm automatically calculates and adjusts the feed ration to be allocated to it.
Personalized nutrition and optimization
Thanks to this process, each gilt receives personalized feed perfectly tailored to its needs. This improves animal uniformity, reduces early culling, and optimizes overall farm management.
The benefits
Precision
Thanks to its algorithm, the Feeder Q10 station adjusts each ration according to the specific needs of each gilt.
Performance
The gilts used for AI are thus more homogeneous, allowing for an increase in the number of weaned piglets per litter ( +1 weaned piglet/litter on average for first-parity sows) and a decrease in early culling ( -11% on average for first and second parities).*
Profitability
Thanks to these performance improvements, the investment pays for itself in less than 5 years.
Ease of use
The Feeder Q10 station is easy to install and use. The system automatically controls and adjusts the amount of feed to be distributed.
Animal welfare
The system creates a more comfortable environment for the gilts, thus improving their well-being.
